Small town life slows things down. I mean this in a good way. It takes literally two minuntes to get anywhere you need to be -- church, wal-mart, parks, football games, coffee shops -- and this makes for more time to do other things. We find that we do not rush from place to place and our lives are not nearly as stressful here. We love that!!
Joshua and I realized that we will really miss living close to his sister, brother-in-law, and grandma (who live in Nashville, TN). Often Debbie, Tom, and Luke would run up to Nashville for a long weekend too!! We will really miss that! It is hard knowing that we can't jump in the car and rush down for a last minute trip to see them. We are so thankful for our time close to our family and we are thankful for the modern day technologies of cell phones and email (blogs too) but there is nothing quite like sitting, laughing together over an ice cold glass of Mr. Tom's sweet tea (IT IS THE BEST TEA EVER!!). How we will treasure our times when we are able to get together.. hopefully very soon (HINT HINT VINCENTS!!)
Another thought... I was talking to Joy a while back about how happy I am to have her as a friend. Yes, she is Joshua's sister. We laugh about how difficult our relationship was in the beginning -- for whatever reason -- and how I believe the Lord put them in Nashville (close to us) to help mend that relationship and allow us to be very close. My friendship with Joy is a wonderful display of God's goodness to us in protecting us from bitterness and allowing us to love one another as Christ loves us. Love you Joy!!

Thank you for that sweet message! We miss you guys, too. Benjamin is getting so big! We've gotta visit soon. Hopefully God will move us closer again so we can see our nephew and baby on the way??
