Hiking with friends from church in Oak Creek Canyon/Sedona: Scout (our goldendoodle puppy) experienced his first hiking adventure. he was a champ. benjamin experiences his first serious potty in the woods. he thought that was the greatest mission ever presented to him. Johnny fell asleep in Mr. Don's arms and was carried out the last 45 minutes of the hike. Wonderful time with sweet friends!!
Church: Loving trinity more each day. Wednesday night church started back up in full motion. I am teaching the 4,5,6 year olds. We have ALL boys and one little girl. It has been a joy working with a few of our college girls during this class as they help me maintain my sanity and laugh at my disorganization (they keep my organized!!). I am enjoying being challenged in new ways by the kid's questions and excitement about our themes for this semester:
Jesus is my Shepherd.
Jesus is my Creator.
Jesus is my Savior.
Jesus is my King.
Visit from the Brandt's: Poppy and grandmother ventured out West to get some time with those grandbabies. Mom fell in love with Scout and wanted to take him home in her suite case. Joshua considered the arrangement seriously. i said NO WAY!!! I love that dog. We enjoyed our time with Mom and Dad so much!! Wonderful memories created! I was struck again by the way in which my mom can take anything (like a drain in the road, a tree, a donkey... you name it) and turn it into a story about the Bible pointing specifically to Christ. SO COOL. I think that would be a great book for moms.... hummm... :)
