"A Praying Life" by Paul E. Miller
I am still in the midst of reading this book and I have found it pulling at my soul and casting new light on my closed eyes during prayer time. He helps me see prayer as an amazing connection to my Savior and friend Jesus Christ. Awesome Book!!
"God, I Need to Talk to you About..." series by Dan Carr
My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. It is really helpful especially as we enter this new season in life in the public school systems (a charter school, but really all the same) where my little one is very conscience that not everyone loves Jesus (oh that is SO HARD!!). It talks about various sin that children tend to fall into easily such as... stealing, lying, cheating, bullying... Concordia press puts it out for about 1.20 a booklet for 23.00 for a set of 20 books! Love it and recommend it!
"The Help." by Katheryn Stockett
This book is just plain FUN! I love the mingled mess of relationships, culture shifts, and hard lessons these ladies endure as they battle a very snooty and self-righteous (plus racist) culture. Fun and Entertaining. Plus, I really want to see the MOVIE!
