update on things.

Well, here we are with one (possibly two) treatments to go! It is hard to believe four months, 7 treatments, 14 weeks have gone by. We have gotten good at knowing what days will be hard, what days I will feel great, and what days my kids need to hide from their "mommy monster!"

hahah. no seriously.

With this round of treatments on a new drug come new challenges: one tends to be the effects steroids have on my body, thus making me a "monster mommy!"

Just imagine LOTs of steroids (like I wake up in the middle of the night to take them prior to chemo) plus more pumped into my veins on chemo day, plus my hormones are who knows what these days, plus just overall stress of pain in my joints/muscles after chemo... i have my moments of just being difficult to be around! :) Thus... monster Mommy! (a term I have given myself!)

It is weird. I don't sleep for a few nights right after chemo. I am so tired and feel pain all over, but at the same time I am all hyped up on steroids. So, I get a lot of organizing done! :)

The tumor size has decreased significantly. YAY! I am eager to get this surgery underway. We still have LOTS of decisions to make in regard to surgery, but it is tentitively scheduled for mid Feb. Praying for wisdom.
