It seems like we had a long week of goodbyes during our transition from Clewiston, FL to Phoenix, AZ. The church said a sweet goodbye to us on Sunday night in a evening filled with prayer and memories -- we all laughed and cried as stories were told of our two plus years at First Baptist Clewiston. God blessed us with many wonderful friends who we will miss tremendously!! Then we had to hug and kiss our family, the Howards & Brandts, who we have spent many long weekends with over the past two years! I am constantly reminded of the sweetness that family brings to our lives. I miss them dearly.
The past two years have been filled with joys (Brandt, Annelise, Jeshua, Elijah, & John born; new friends; new Christians; fantastic Sunday school teachers; small group; new home/church in Phoenix) and sorrows (Sheri's death, Brian's death, postpartum depression, Leaving loved ones, hateful people) ... probably more than any other time in my life. The Lord has used trials to sanctify our family & I honestly treasure the work that He continues to do in my own heart. A good friend who counselled Joshua and I during a particularly difficult season reminded me to rest in the goodness of our Savior, knowing that he LOVES me and will not stop being my Shepard and King, no matter how much I fail. Praise God for dear Saints to remind us of these truths of Scripture.
We miss you all so much!! Thanks for your prayers.
