Donut Song... for Jill.

This was one of my favorite songs as a kid. My grandmother used to sing it all the time!!!


Well, I woke up this morning and I went around the block
And I walked right in to the donut shop
And I picked three donuts right out of the grease
And I handed the lady a five cent piece.

Well, she looked at the nickel and she looked at me
And she said, “This nickel’s no good, you see
There’s a hole in the middle and it goes right through.”
I said, “Oops, there’s a hole in the donuts, too.”
