Valentine Family Day.

Valentine's Day 2011.

6:00am : i awoke early with an extra bundle of cuteness in my bed... Benjamin. at some point in the night he stood quietly next to my bed and requested permission to come aboard what most be the most popular resting place in the house as of late - our bed. his snores are not tamed and tend to grow in volume in the early hours of the morning.

6:15am: i decided to get a jump start in the Kitchen this morning. finished the small packages of treats and hearts i had purchased for my smallest valentines. then i decided to run to the store before the gang arose to gather some goodies for breakfast - bacon - this is a very rare and special treat in our home. yummy!! Johnny quietly joined my on my sunrise shopping venture.

7:15am: i was totally amazed at how early the kids in our neighborhood wait for the bus! as i entered the store i was again in awe of how many men shop for flowers and candy at 7:20am on V-Day. come on guys... you know it is coming right after the 13th!!

7:35am: bacon cooking. boys thrilled with the idea of eating Candy and bacon for breakfast. (why not?).

8:00am: glance in the mirror. opps, i forgot to brush my hair prior to going shopping. (at least i remembered a bra and shoes!)

8:45am: on our way to preschool. hair brushed. chit & chat must live in the back seat of my car. wow they can talk. (just the other day while driving in the car Benjamin informed me he will be having 47 kids. some will be his own, some will be adopted. he said i can take them places as long as i don't loose them. i can't take them to Disney though because he wants to do that. and i must make them pick up after themselves when they stay at my house. and do lots of chores to teach them how to work hard.) johnny has his sweat shirt hood on... too cute.

9:10am: realize it is chapel day at preschool (the parents have to attend). AARRRR. i don't really want to go to chapel but i muster up the smile and enjoy it. looking around i am amazed at the other kids valentine boxes. really?? wow!! there were LEGO boxes, buzz light year boxes, monster boxes. oh my, i wonder what K will be like?! johnny still has hood up on his sweat shirt.

9:25am: benjamin to his class. excited about candy. johnny still has hood on.

9:45am: joshua and i rent a carpet steamer. coupon found to save a few bucks. begin moving furniture. Hood still on my youngest. :)

12pm: pick up little boy extremely ready to eat his candy. enjoy display of generosity as B gives J a big bag of Candy! :)

1pm: Yard is flooded. Boys run in water with underwear only. entertained for about 2 hours. J and i begin steaming. amazed at how dirty our carpets are.

bla bla bla bla... why am i writing all of this?? we had a great day together. Benjamin informed me at some point that we are not supposed to work on Valentine's Day! :) Well, we did and it was good.

I totally LOVE my family!!
