Vacation part II

So we are all now quite sick with the flu (cold one, not stomach one) & thinking that it is not a fun way to spend our weekend without responsibilities (joshua did not have to preach). We are greatful for a few days away though & time to recover now that we are home! :)

Here are a few more pictures. One of our favorite evenings was heading over to Coronado Island! The boys went crazy at the beach and after multiple convincing pleas they dabbled their feet (and tummies) in the frigid waters of the Pacific! :)









Disneyland! We decided last minute to trek to the north about 1/5 hours to Disneyland. We were even more convinced that this was a right thing to do when our friend Jordan got us into the parks for free through her internship program! (it would have cost about 400 or more dollars for ONE DAY!!! THAT is so totally amazing to me... guess that is why Disney is a 77 billion dollar business). Disneyland is quite different from the park I grew up going to - Disney World. Also, I kept referring to it as Magic Kingdom and people had no idea what I was talking about!! The Castle was tiny, the people were not as friendly, and the place didn't seem as magical to me, but when I began to see how cool some of the differences were I got a great appreciation for this park. It is possible that our kids had more fun going on the ships in the San Diego Harbor... but hey, that is just our kids!!! :)
